LANCASHIRE LENDS A HAND on BBC Radio Lancashire

Monday 27th May at 2:00pm

This 55 minute radio programme follows a team of 10 Methodists from the county who travel to the West African nation of Sierra Leone to help redevelop a Mission Hospital and a Training Centre for Young People. Following a decade of devastating civil war the Methodist Church in Lancashire teamed up with the Methodist Church in Sierra Leone. This radio programme explores the events and effects of that war and how the Lancashire District is helping to save and change lives in the Kailahun District. Presented by Mark Slaney and using recordings made in Sierra Leone earlier this year, the programme features contributions from members of the Lancashire mission team and the Methodist Church projects in Sierra Leone. Listen to Sierra Leone style worship, hear the aftermath of a land-mine explosion and rejoice in the positive difference Lancashire Methodists have made. ‘LANCASHIRE LENDS A HAND’ will be broadcast on BBC Radio Lancashire on Monday 27th May at 2:00pm.
