Sunday July 18th
6.30pm: Circuit Service to say farewell to Rev David Wood and Rev Gillian Houghton.
David and his wife Kathleen and their son Peter are moving to Bedale in North Yorkshire and Gillian with her husband Tom is to become the Superintendent Minister of the Darlington Circuit. At the AGM it was agreed to send a monetary contribution to the Circuit present and also to give them a small personal gift on their final visits to us at Christ Church. We are especially grateful to David for his help and support during the time between Michael leaving and Helen joining us.

Thursday August 12th

Saturday August 21st
Churches Together in Longridge trip to Lancaster and Morecambe with visits to the Priory Church; the Roman Catholic Cathedral and Wesley’s Chapel Heysham. Full details from Hazel Scott.

Wednesday September 1st
7.30pm: SERVICE AT FULWOOD METHODIST CHURCH
AN ACT OF WELCOME, CELEBRATION and DEDICATION to inaugurate our new enlarged Circuit called Preston Ribble. This will not affect Christ Church in any major way but the preachers will have to travel over a larger area to take services. However, this will be our first opportunity to meet the new Superintendent Minister, the Rev. Paul Davies and the other new circuit staff.

6.30pm: District Service at The Drive, St Annes on Sea to inaugurate the new Lancashire District.
