Mon Aug 2nd – 8th The ‘Wheel Mission’ Lancashire Leg ( by Rev Richard Church). Come and support him on Monday 2nd at the Shekinah Christian Centre, Newchurch in Pendle, where he will be stopping off for a soup and sandwich lunch – all welcome. Or on Thursday 5th at Penwortham URC, where there will be an Ecumenical Service at 6.30pm and BBQ to follow.
Sat Aug 21st Churches Together in Longridge are organising a summer outing to ‘Lancaster and Beyond’ Leaving Longridge at 9.30am and returning at 6.30pm.
Mon Aug 23rd The Ladies’ Guild have arranged a meal at the Corporation Arms – 6.30 for 7pm. If you would like to join us, please add your name to the list in the foyer. Olive.

Sat July 31st 2.00pm–4.00pm: All are welcome to come to a Strawberry Tea at Fulwood URC. Tea and scone £2. Stalls and hand made cards. Proceeds to help towards the Autumn Fair on Nov 20th for Derian House and St Catherine’s Hospice.
Thu Aug 5th 6.30pm: at Penwortham URC. Join Rev Richard Church as he vists the Preston area on his cycle journey round the synod. See notice board for details.

Civic Hall Coffee Day Thank You Thank you to Pam and all who helped in any way at the coffee day held last Thursday. The amount raised for church funds was £242.44.

Thank you to the Valley Singers for their enthusiastic singing on Friday Night in aid of the Haiti Appeal. Thanks also to all who helped in any way. The total raised was £405.
Our ‘Big Brew’ during Fair Trade Fortnight has raised £102.41 in donations to the Fair Trade Foundation. Why not browse through the new Spring catalogues or buy from our regular Traidcraft stall?
