Ladies’ Guild

We began our autumn programme with a social Coffee Evening early in September and since then have had some really good Monday evenings. Thanks to Betty for putting together such varied speakers for us.

Our Minister came and spoke about how she was led into becoming a Minister. The ladies enjoyed getting to know Helen better.

The evenings followed with talks by John Dixon, Norman Pearson, John Smith from Spurgeons and last week Mel Watson telling us about the holidays she has had with her husband.

The Guild ladies enjoy all their times together and the friendships made.

Only one more meeting before the first half of our winter programme is finished!! We have seen a rise in our membership and have found the foyer rather crowded at times but we can always move into the Church – so keep coming – new members are always welcome. We are looking forward to our Christmas meal at the Corporation Arms on December 10th, over 30 members and friends have already booked. We do not meet again until January 28th when Janice Ingham is going to share her experiences of running in the London Marathon for “SENSE”. The Guild wishes everyone a Happy Christmas and a peaceful new year.
